Approaching a year of development time on Choke-Point, and its getting closer and closer to being ready for a wide release! Atm I'm working on unlockable character/weapon skins and things.

Me and the Evil-Dog are attempting a Halloween game called Streets of the Dead. Hopefully we can get it done so wish us luck. All i'll say is it will be multiplayer and chaotic ;) Its using Game assets I made several years ago that went unused, so I'm happy it will get used finally.

If we do a quick beta stress test Me or ED will probably make a new post about it looking for volunteers or just ask here and i'll add you if we do it.



Haven't made a post in awhile, so why not?

Me and Evil-Dog still hard at work on our multiplayer game Choke-Point. We are trying to get it loaded with content and ready for a wide release! 

I recently finished a new character class, the "Skkithulas". She can wall/ceiling walk, and go into a defensive cacoon mode. Kinky. She will be added soon to the live version, which you can try out here if your curious.

We also want to implement a leveling up system with perks and what not with various unlockable character/weapon skins and shit. If anyone wants to test run and throw out any perk ideas or weapon ideas OR WHATEVER, feel free.(The server is pretty low pop atm, the game is kinda hidden on AG until Wide release is ready so try at peak times if you wanna play it now.)

So with Skkith outa the way, only 1 more class remains to complete the 6 playable classes for the wide release. If the game is popular after that point I have 3 more classes in mind to add :) so we shall see on that.

Road of the Dead 2 : BETA testing!

Me and Evil-Dog's game,Road of the Dead 2 is in the final stretch of BETA testing. We need as many testers that we can get so on release (august 26th) there's no bugs!

Let me know in the comments if you'd like to test drive the game to find bugs for us to squish and leave feedback.but don't bother if you only want to play it early, that won't help us at all!

We have a special website for beta testers to report bugs and suggestions.

In other news, Saga of the Dead's OST has been released, so go check it out!

Also, come hang out in the Stream, to watch the game being worked on, or just hang out and chat!

So Road of the Dead 2 is finally in full BETA mode, We are going through it finding the bugs, tweaking the values all that good stuff, but we need more testers! Let me know if your interested and I can add you as a tester, But please don't sign up if your only interested in playing early, that's not going to help us.

Also The Saga of the Dead OST has been released!

Road of the Dead 2 Alpha testing

We started the RotD2 Alpha test Friday night. Its missing a lot of key features, so the game will be upgraded to Beta when those are implemented.
If you wanted to help test and give feedback (not just play it early) let me or Evil-Dog know and we can add you to the list of current testers.

There's a website that is listed in the game's menu and author comments that you will need to go to,to post your thoughts,suggestions and bug reports. If you're not interested in reporting bugs and stuff, please just wait for the full release :D

We are in the final stretch, will be awesome to finally finish this beast!

fun fact: the game was originally an idea I had to basically make road1 Redux, with some new stuff, and an extra mini campaign to play as 2 soldiers with shooting. We ended up pumping it up so much it became a full sequel.

Rotd2, beta, blood everywhere

Road of the Dead 2 is really close to being done! it has taken a lot longer to make than the first one, but it has 10 times the content as well.

I'm currently making 'patterns' or levels for the game, and testing them out, making sure they are fun and challenging. the picture below is what my pattern editor looks like, and then what that pattern then looks like in game on the right.

We might include an in-game pattern/campaign editor for anyone that wants to make them and share, which would be cool I think! But that's a maybe ;)

Evil-Dog also fixed and optimized his dog tek engine, so now Road2 is running blazing fast! the same error is also in Road1, so expect it to be updated to run super fast and smooth around the time Road2 hits!

We have been working our balls off, so I hope you guys enjoy the game, I think it blows the first one away, so if you liked that one, you should love this one, yeah? :D

Beta is soon soon, so send Evil-Dog or me a pm or below to beta test asap if you want in.

Me and Evil-Dog still hard at work finishing up Road2, if you wanna know more about that game check out my last news post.
We are considering porting to stage 3d or something for the extra acceleration but maybe not, if we do it will delay it a bit more though. Unfortunately Adobe added these weird licensing rules and stuff for using their 3d stuff, and it doesn't even seem to work :P so it makes that process even more annoying! wee!

"Currently, each licensed game must have its root SWF hosted on a different domain (or different subdomain) than any other licensed game's root SWF. To license the games separately, move each game's root SWF to a unique subdomain and then register the subdomain. If you use a single licensed domain to host multiple root SWFs, all those SWFs are considered a single game from a licensing and revenue share standpoint. If for some reason you must do this, then you should consolidate all the included games into a single game entry in the Games Dashboard, giving the entry a generalized game name that refers to the whole set of games."

so... we have to get a license to use 3d features, must tell them each host that will host the game, and put a file on the server? That doesn't seem like how flash games are suppose to work :P

anyway the game is shaping up really well, Evil-Dog's doing an amazing job coding up a storm for it, and the voice actors have put in some killer dialogue, and our music guy has made some really catchy music tracks, even better than the last game!
Pretty much everyone from the first game is involved, and have really upped their game for the sequel.

So back to porting Range of the Dead to flash, unity 4 is out, but wouldn't you know the export feature isn't working right, so that's still up in the air. hopefully we can figure a solution for it.

Also, we wanna try to port Poltergifts to mobiles for christmas time, and maybe with new boss battles added into it, since I wanted to add those originally but we didn't have enough time.

Oh, and next year will be Dead Rain's 10 year anniversary, haha I can't believe its been that long. fuck I'm getting old. :O I have something planned for that, but its a secret for now ;)
